Vectrus Supply Chain Sr. Manager in Colorado Springs, Colorado


Under the direction of the Vectrus Vice President of Supply Chain, and in partnership with the Vectrus Director of Strategic Sourcing, manages all strategic supply chain aspects of a key corporate capture (value >$1B), establishing executable plans for day-one readiness, supporting the proposal phase through award/execution. Works in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing Director to develop solutions and processes for sourcing agility, compliance, cost-effectiveness, and optimized lead times. Works on complex problems, exercising ethical judgment within broadly defined practices and policies. Participates in making and approving decisions related to supply chain management. Serves as a key member of an Integrated Program Team, driving the development of the supply chain sourcing vision from concept to executable operational plans/practices.


1.Provide expert advice associated with all supply chain aspects of the capture to guide personnel and processes that generate high quality winning proposals and highly effective execution procedures

2.Participate and lead strategy sessions on supply chain execution of the key corporate capture

3.Ensure effective, efficient, and accurate proposal generation process which meets demanding deadlines.

4.Act as generalist, understanding client needs and internal capabilities/plans to enhance quality of execution planning

5.Work in partnership with internal teams to build efficiencies from one solution to the next.

6.Help define and categorize core capabilities needed for successful execution and collaborate with program execution team to determine which are to be sourced in-house and outsourced,

7.Assist in the development of a decision tree for sourcing all core capabilities

8.Determine best practices that ultimately lead to refined policies and procedures for all outsourced content

9.Participate in proposal review meetings, IPTs, color team reviews as needed, and other capture meetins to ensure integration of all proposal activities.

10.Utilize prior knowledge and experience to help lead, inform and share “lessons learned” to all who are developing the day-one readiness plan and/or preparing proposal updates

11.Reviews and interprets contract/subcontracts specifications, requirements and terms and conditions to ensure execution plans meet all requirements and for incorporation into proposal submittal to customers.

12.Assists in directing coordination with other departments on matters related to supply chain, and documents all agreed-to plans

13.Project manages the overall supply chain activites needed in support of the resultant prime contract award, ensuring end-to-end seemless performance through the utilization of regional service centers who will perform the operational procurement support activities.

14.May act as a member of the Rapid Deployment Team (RDT) representing supply chain; or oversees him/her performing that duty

15.Performs other duties and assignments as required.

Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering, Supply Chain or Business/Finance preferred) Masters degree and/or Certification by National Contract Management Association (NCMA) is desired.


Minimum fifteen (15) years experience working in a wide variety of contracts and subcontracts roles with a strong background both in SubcontractAdministrationandManagement,aswellasContractManagement.Expereinceleadinglargeproposalefforts (>$500M) from a strategy and compliance perspective, and transitioning major programs.Expereince in a purchasing or procurement environment. Must have strong kbusiness accument, knowledge of basic contractlaw,purchasing policies and procedures, basic software worksheet technologies, and the ability to meet with, work with and brief senior management personnel.

Proficiency in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), incurred cost compliance, and Vectrus corporate policies and procedures is a plus.
