The Supply Technician is responsible for conducting logistical operations for the Modernization Divestiture and Repair Site (MDRS) at Fort Moore, Georgia. Responsibilities include supply accountability, asset visibility, supply transactions, and inventory procedures completed in accordance with applicable Army Regulations. The Supply Technician should be certified and fully proficient with the Global Combat Supply System-Army (GCSS-A). The Supply Technician will also be responsible for the day-to-day activities by using organizational resources to determine best practices for program execution, and make decisions in accordance with the contracted statement of work. The Supply Technician is expected to maintain high leadership standards and technical expertise to deliver best customer service. Duties may chance to support operations as needed.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

  • Works with a framework of established supply regulation, policies, and procedures an in the resolution of issues encountered in the process.

  • Executes property transfer, receipt, storage, and issue activities (including but not limited to posting and editing documentation).

  • Experienced with the Decision Support Tool (DST) system and understanding of Proposed Sourcing Decisions (PSD).

  • Ensure that all assets disposition instructions are executed in a timely manner.

  • Validates and ensures material readiness.

  • Capable of inspecting logistical and transportation related documents and paperwork associated with the receipt, issue, turn in and shipping of Army equipment.

  • Performs analysis of equipment on-hand requirements (Class II, and VII).

  • Ensures supporting documents are filed in accordance with Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS).

  • Conducts inventories including preparations, documentation, and reporting per prescribed regulations.

  • Ensures compliance with all properly authenticated directives within established guidelines.

  • Validates equipment status to include completeness, serviceability, accountability, and equipment serviced packets.

  • Performing in both manual and automated property book accounting environments with the related functions associated with accurate property accountability.

  • Ensures compliances with appropriate regulations, forms and procedures pertaining to property books, hand receipts, shortage annexes, build of materials (BOM), and other property accounting documents.

  • Provides services in support of asset requisition, receipt, short-term holding, inventory, issue, redistribution, classification and turn-in; maintaining hand receipts/annexes, property book adjustment reports, reconciliations, serial number tracking and unique item tracking.

  • Uses the appropriate property book Logistics Information System (LIS) for transactions, accountability and reporting.

  • Maintains all historical files, supporting documents and other required records; ensuring all files are stored IAW the Army Records Information System (ARIMS) Administrative Adjustment Reports, receipt, issue, and transfer documents.

  • Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.

    Material & Equipment Directly Used:

  • Computers, Fax machine, Copier, Printer and Phones. Personal computer systems, Microsoft Office Programs, any other pertinent software and general office equipment.

  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas.

    Working Environment:

  • Majority of work will typically be in an office environment. However, there will be requirements to work in a warehouse and outdoor environment. There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme hot and cold weather conditions.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Certifications:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.

  • Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A) certified at the property book level.

  • Logistics information Warehouse (LIW).

  • Logistics Information System (LIS).

  • Logistics Integrated Database (LIDB).

  • Integrated Logistics Analysis Program (ILAP).

  • Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS/FEDLOG).

  • Familiar with ARIMS.

  • Able to obtain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

    Experience:

  • Three years’ experience on supply operations at the property book level.

  • Must have technical experience and comprehensive knowledge of Government regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Must be familiar with all forms covered in DA PAM 710-2-1, including DA Form 3161, DA Form 5598E, DA Form 2407, DA Form 4949 and BOMs identified in GCSS-A.

  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and equipment management processes.

  • Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.

  • Capacity to work well under pressure with short suspense and tight deadlines.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable.

  • Decision Support Tool.

  • Proposed Sourcing Decisions.

  • Valid state driver’s license required.

  • Forklift licensed preferred.

    Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Project and SharePoint preferred.

  • Must have excellent organizational, analytical, written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and around tight deadlines.
