This is a US Local National position in Germany. As such the employee will be subject to paying German taxes and be part of the German work force with all the benefits of HN employment and social system.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Tier 1 Technical Support tasks

  • Provide Tier 2 support for any Network Administrator task for the customer, to include all sections of SSD such as Networking, Systems, DevOps, Information Assurance, and escalate requests and incidents in accordance with documented SOPs.

  • Shall provide the operation, troubleshooting, restoration, configuration, installation, and security of the Government-provided networks, wireless access points, wireless control systems, and associated devices to maximize uptime at 99% availability or higher during core business hours.

  • Conducts site surveys for potential new wireless service locations.

  • Provides support services to assist with customer wired or LAN and wireless network.

  • Installs IOS updates to switches and routers as directed. Troubleshoot devices when necessary.

  • Installs, operates, and performs cable management. Person will perform preventive maintenance checks, services, and unit-level maintenance on CAT-5/6 and fiber communication systems in accordance with industry communications standards.

  • Manages the GCMC Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and/or HCL BigFix to include the following tasks:

  • Manages GCMC test groups for Windows and 3rd party software updates and patches, and ensures testing is completed based on documented SOPs.

  • Assists with managing the Mobile Device Management system for all GCMC approved mobile devices in accordance with documented SOPs.

  • Installs new and rebuilds existing Windows servers and configures hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, and access permissions in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements and in coordination with the COR and/or Government Systems Administration Team Lead.

  • Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.

Qualifications

  • 3 years systems administration experience

  • 2 years networking experience

  • IAT II Security+ Certification

  • CCNA Wireless Certification or equivalent

  • Able to work in German (German, US or EU citizen – must have lived in Germany for 1 year consecutively)

  • Must be proficient in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a mid-sized virtual (VMware & vSphere) environment to include, but not limited to, performing periodic backups, upgrades, and virtual server installation.

  • Knowledge in creating, managing, and maintaining reports, Windows images, software deployment packages, task sequences, Windows and 3rd party software updates and patches, containers and schedules and ensure accurate and reliable information is provided (upon request).

  • Great communication skills

  • Able to lift up to 35kgs

This Position requires you to be in the Office 5 Days a week!
