Overview

The Sharepoint Developer provides highly technical and administrative support of the GCMC SharePoint infrastructure to include design, development, architecture, availability, performance, monitoring and security.

This is a US Local National position in Germany. As such the employee will be subject to paying German taxes and be part of the German work force with all the benefits of HN employment and social system.

Responsibilities

• You provide highly technical and administrative support of the GCMC SharePoint infrastructure to include design, architecture, performance and security as well as overall day to day SharePoint maintenance and troubleshooting.

• You run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing applications for the purpose of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement and general debugging.

• You develop new software programs and applications and are responsible for the configuration and maintenance of document libraries, lists, site collections and all required software updates for the systems (IIS, SQL) supporting the customer websites.

• You code, compile, and test software applications according to approved specifications and business requirements and assists in conceptualization and development of new software programs and applications in coordination with the Customer and Development Operations Lead.

• You perform typical system administration tasks and user trainings. You provide day to day project support for the Intranet and other internal applications as well as Tier 2 support to the Help Desk relating to any SharePoint related tasks.

• You manage and document new and changing requirements for current and new applications to include: evaluating alternative solutions; estimating time and cost required to accomplish projects; participating in the development, implementation, and test phases of the project to include assessing and developing plans for migrating existing web applications to SharePoint.

• You assist in the research, preparation and documentation of program and application requirements and specifications.

• You develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines for all developed software programs and applications.

Qualifications

• Experience with SharePoint Online and On Premise, JavaScript, CSS.

• 5+ years of experience in direct web development.

• Good English language skills (writing and speaking).

• Able to work within Germany (If you’re not a US Citizen you must have lived in Germany for a year).

• Current CompTia Security+ certification.

• Be proficient with managing and maintaining a mid-sized SharePoint infrastructure, experience supporting Microsoft SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Online.

• Some experience with Drupal 9 and Microsoft SQL Server applications and software as well as Azure would be a plus.

• Experience in Integrated Development Environments, Code Management Systems, GIT.
