Vectrus Environmental Technician in Montgomery, Alabama


This position will provide support within the 42d Civil Engineer / Base Environmental Department, assisting the Environmental Protocol Managers with operations on Maxwell AFB and its properties in Montgomery, Alabama.

Responsibilities include both office and field work, supporting the environmental compliance and conservation program with inspections, data collection and entry, and routine duties. Environmental task areas may include, but are not limited to: storm water, hazardous materials and waste, universal waste, storage tanks, toxics and natural resources. The duties and operational training will be provided by the Environmental Program Manager and Environmental Specialists. Must be able to carry out tasks with a minimum of supervision after training.



High School Diploma or GED required. College degree in environmental science or related science field preferred.

Must be proficient in skills for computer use (including Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, Power Point, database entry, etc.)


Previous environmental science knowledge or experience required. RCRA DOT training preferred.

Physical Capabilities:

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must be able to walk, lift and carry without assistance. Duties will require moving heavier boxes, bags, buckets, drums and supplies. Forklift driving experience preferred.
