Responsibilities
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance and services on a variety of HVAC/R systems. Identifies problem areas, material and labor required to conduct the repair.
Completes repairs in a timely manner.
Uses a Computer Maintenance Management System (Maximo) to correctly capture data related to maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance inspections, and emergency/urgent customer requests.
Uses a Tablet to track work orders, request material, add labor and material used against a work order.
Operates, maintains, and repairs HVAC/R equipment.
Inspects and determines method and material to repair HVAC/R systems.
Works with chilled and heated water systems, package units, split systems, window units, and air delivery systems and their controls and components.
Solders copper tubing performs minor electrical work and troubleshoots equipment.
Reads and interprets work orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints, and manuals needed to accomplish operation or and maintenance activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/ GED
All HVAC mechanics must hold a valid EPA 608 refrigeration handling certification.
Must be North American Technician Excellence (NATE II) certified.
Experience
Minimum three (3) years' in the HVAC trade.
Minimum Three (3) years' HVAC repair and maintenance, trade school in refrigeration, heating and cooling.
Skills
General knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the HVAC trade.
Must have excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
Able to read and interpret Work Orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints and manuals in order to accomplish assigned duties.
Requires a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation, and teamwork.
