Overview

Systems Administrator - IAM I provide support our government customer. In this position, you will be responsible for providing cybersecurity analysis and support, applying DoD security controls to Local Area Network (LAN) and network devices. The Systems Administrator -IAM I will utilize knowledge and experience with standard Information Assurance (IA) concepts, practices, and procedures to plan and accomplish goals pertaining to the enclave environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor multiple server and desktop platforms; to include Microsoft's Server 2016, RedHat RHEL 7 and Oracle Solaris 10/11 Trusted Extensions Operating Systems.

  • Administer and monitor SonicWall NSA 3600 network security appliances providing both boundary and host-based protection.

  • Provide management of COMSEC keying material and equipment for multiple locations, capable of configuration and administration of NSA approved Type 1 encryption devices in accordance with the applicable (EKMS 1B) policies and guidelines.

  • Maintain and monitor multiple interconnected environments (networks) designated to provide.

  • Baseline, Baseline+ Accessibility and Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) solutions categorized to operate at a Moderate-Moderate-Low impact level.

  • Provide Low-to-Low and Low-to-High Assured File Transfer capabilities across multiple Classified networks.

  • Audit Baseline, Baseline+ Accessibility and Cross Domain Solution (CDS) environments to trouble shoot and maintain stability.

  • Manage Multi-Domain Video Network Switch’s.

  • Manage and maintain Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) documentation for program office and supporting sites to ensure required actions are completed and on time.

  • Conduct successful Assessment and Authorization (A&A) events in support of program office efforts.

  • Author certification test plans for Baseline, Baseline + Accessibility and Cross Domain Solution Enterprise-Wide Area Networks (WAN)

  • Test information systems to ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and technical requirements utilizing DISA SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC) tool & DISA STIGs

  • Assist with hardware/software procurement (research for IA approved equipment, gather quotes).

  • Perform Entry/Exit inspection of hardware and software.

  • Evaluate potential IA security risks and take appropriate corrective and recovery action of network devices.

  • Perform Asset Management duties.

  • Education/Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • Three years’ experience performing in an Information Assurance/Cyber Analysis Role

  • DoD 8140/8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I cybersecurity certification is required.

  • Experience and knowledge that demonstrates competency with Solarwinds SEM and ACAS.

  • Experience supporting secured environments. Understanding of RMF, JSIG. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

  • Experience working within an enhanced security environment.

  • 2+ years' experience Monitoring and Auditing Windows/Linux and Unix based operating systems.

  • Skills

  • Solarwinds SEM, ACAS, STIG/SCAP, Bash Scripting MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
