Vectrus Operations Lead - Secret Clearance in Patuxent River, Maryland

At V2X, we are making a difference by providing support to programs in the Effects Deployment Office (FXDO) of Precision Strike Weapons Program Office, PMA-201. This office is responsible for research, development, acquisition and sustainment of the Navy's air-to-ground precision guided weapons, general-purpose bombs, aircraft armament-related equipment, and all cartridge/propellant actuated devices. The FXDO is responsible for the development of new weapons programs and we are looking for a talented Operations Lead.

Responsibilities

  • What You'll Do:

  • The role is both Executive Assistant to the FXDO leadership and Operations Lead for FXDO. The candidate will work closely with the FXDO Leadership, analysts, and security, to organize the leadership schedules, meetings and presentations, employee access requests, security access control and alarm systems and other duties that help the office run smoothly. The candidate must be a team-oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, resolve conflict in a constructive manner, and produce quality products efficiently.

  • You are the internal customer service team – you meet and anticipate the needs of leadership and staff to ensure we function first smoothly, then optimally. Success hinges on the belief that your contributions matter, your ideas advance the teams goals, and if something is broken, you’ll find a better way.

  • Assist program director in preparation of briefing materials, action tracking, and compose responses to PMA and PEO action items and data calls.

  • Organize and facilitate weekly program meetings to include developing meeting agendas, taking meeting minutes and action item requests.

  • Assists with coordinating schedules and travel with military and civilian leadership.

  • Review and coordinate program briefings.

  • Track and coordinate action items through resolution and response reporting for team.

  • Maintain Share Point site for Effects Deployment Office (FXDO) team.

  • Route and coordinate approval for all correspondence and public release documentation reviewed by FXDO leadership.

  • Maintain office access control and alarm systems to include granting and removing badge access to individuals.

  • Assist personnel with sanitization of conference rooms and attendee clearance.

  • Assist with any visit requests needed for locations requiring security clearances utilizing JPAS, DISS, and or BASICS II as necessary.

  • Initiate and execute complex administrative and analytical tasks.

  • Establish, review, and update office procedures.

  • Prepare Flag Level Letters of Appreciation (LOAs), Letters of Commendation (LOCs), Memorandums.

  • Utilize Defense Travel System (DTS) to create travel authorizations and vouchers.

  • Write and maintain operations and administrative standard operating procedures manual to assist teamwork flow and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience or Associate's degree.

  • Experience:

  • 5 years of related experience.

  • Skills

  • Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills

  • Proficient in document / PowerPoint proofreading and editing in support of Flag Level documentation.

  • Other Requirements:

  • Must have US DoD Secret Clearance.

  • Software:

  • MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word

  • SharePoint.

  • DTS – Defense Travel System

  • JPAS, DISS, and or BASICS II

  • Technology:

  • Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
