V2X is developing a smart warehousing prototype designed to provide increased digitization and efficiencies to existing DoD warehouses. V2X is seeking a results-driven senior software engineer to design, develop, and test a cloud architected full stack platform that includes integrations with technologies such as mobile applications, robotics, augmented reality, and smart storage solutions designed to be fielded on a 5G supplied network. Applicant should be able to demonstrate proficiency in the experience categories below.

Responsibilities

  • What You'll Do:

  • The applicant should possess the ability to collaborate with both project and Government personnel in execution of the effort for the Department of the Navy, help manage the customer relationship, and have excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the guidance of a Lead Systems Engineer to develop key integrations with system hardware.

  • Help guide the team to gain an initial understanding of the desired solution, and iteratively develop and refine the software to achieve a usable, high-quality result.

  • Understand and support testing frameworks and automate and integrate testing tools to improve system quality results.

  • Determine root cause for simple software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions under guidance of a senior team member.

  • Collaborate in our Agile/Scrum software development process.

  • Develop software documentation.

  • Have the ability and interest to learn new technologies.

  • Travel, if required (up to 15%), to provide technical assistance to USN 5G installations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in STEM field.

  • Experience:

  • Should have:

  • 1-3 years’ experience programming software.

  • 2+ years of software analyst experience

  • Experience with the software development lifecycle using Agile method from requirement analysis to test planning, test case development, and test execution

  • Experience with testing frameworks and automated testing (Unit -> E2E).

  • Experience with SQL and running queries.

  • Experience with software development and integration.

  • Experience with source control systems, such as git and GitHub / Azure DevOps.

  • Nice to have:

  • Warehousing or logistics experience

  • Engineer degree or applicable work experience

  • Experience working with US Navy or government contracts

  • Skills:

  • Individual must be a self-motivated performer and work well both as an individual as well as in small groups to accomplish unique project objectives.

  • Individual must be able to manage and prioritize multiple taskings at one time.

  • Must be able to communicate with the customer clearly and support the remote development team.

  • Software:

  • Java, Python, SQL, MATLAB, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C++.

  • Technology:

  • Computers, phones, information systems equipment, test equipment
