Vectrus Firefighter in the Middle East in Albania




This position is designed for a foreign national that would deploy to work in Doha, Qatar on a DOD (Department of Defense) contract.

The purpose of this job is to perform specialized duty functions in preparing for and responding to fire/medical emergency calls and in providing general support within the Fire Department/surrounding area.

Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to maintaining readiness for emergency call response; responding to fire, responding to exercise evolutions, medical and related emergency calls when dispatched.

Additionally fire fighters will be heavily involved in educating staff and public on fire safety/prevention and performing Fire Department activities.


1. Maintains vehicles, equipment, tools, and protective clothing in a serviceable ready-response


2. Responds to emergencies as required, suppress fire, and takes precautions to prevent


3. At the site of a fire, protect and preserves evidence indicating the cause of the fire-05%.

4. Conducts recurrent proficiency training and OJT-10%.

5. Performs other duties as assigned by the Fire Chief-10%.

6. Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned-05%.


Must be able to perform and accomplish job related tasks with all fire department tools and equipment,

i.e.: ladders, hoses, power equipment, vehicle pumps, small engines, etc. Basic typing and computer skills required.


Candidate will work on shifts consisting of 48 hours on/48 hours off.

Must be able to work in a physically demanding job and under extremely high climatic temperatures.


Candidate must be able to perform all physically demanding aspects of a career firefighter.

Including, but not limited to: climbing, lifting, pulling, crawling and working under extremely hot/windy conditions.

Membercannot be claustrophobic due to working in limited and often zero visibility.


Education/Certifications: Two years related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Must be no older than 39 years of age as per DoD 6055.6 & DoD1400.25, Volume 336, if applying as an entry level firefighter with no DoD/IFSAC or Pro Board Certifications, continued next page -

Must be no older than 45 years of age as per DoD1400.25, if re-entering the career field with the minimum requirements being met below and 5 years firefighting experience

Preferred: DoD or IFSAC or Pro Board certified in Confined Space Rescue, Hazmat Technician

Required: DoD or IFSAC or Pro Board certifications in: Firefighter I & Firefighter II, Haz-Mat Operations, Haz-Mat Awareness, First Aid & CPR

Must meet the medical and physical fitness requirements of the current NFPA 1582 & 1583 and be able to successfully complete a Firefighters Fitness Challenge

Must pass an English competency level of at least a 9th grade from a certified institution High school graduate diploma or GED equivalent


5 years fire fighting experience


Must be able to perform and accomplish job related tasks with all fire department tools and equipment, i.e.: ladders, hoses, power equipment, pumps, small engines, etc.

Basic typing and computer skills required


No supervisory or budgetary responsibilities
