Vectrus Regional Procurement Specialist - Remote based in Europe in Germany

Overview

The Regional Sourcing Specialist reports to the Director of Global Procurement and contributes to the competitiveness and profitability of our programs by developing regional and local sourcing strategies through the best overall total cost solutions. The Regional Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for developing regional-local agreements that will provide better service through blanket purchase agreements, requirement contract agreements and/or IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity) contracts. The Regional Sourcing Specialist is responsible for providing direct support to the program and act as the liaison to Supply Chain, some of the support items will be onsite meetings, expediting, and tracking deliveries. This position requires a strong business acumen, proven accomplishments with cross-functional teamwork, experience working with remote teams and solid negotiation skills. As such, we are seeking someone with excellent communication and leadership skills to act as a main interface for suppliers and subcontractors within their assigned regions. Willingness to learn company procurement policy and self-educate beyond on the job training.

Experience working with international companies who are not used to working under a US (United States) Government prime contract and the patience and ability to coach them through the process. Must be able to process and assimilate large volumes of data, experience with excel will be essential to this role quickly and effectively. Individuals must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience performing in a business capacity. Must be able to work independently in a high-paced, demanding environment with minimal error rate. Comfortable with frequently adjusting priorities to include new taskings with little to no advance notice. Responsible for protecting the legal and financial interest of V2X during all discussions and interactions with customers and suppliers. Supports all internal and external audits and provides program support to both internal and external customers. Operates under the functional guidance of Supply Chain organization and Corporate Purchasing Manual.

Remote opportunity for those located in Germany, Romania or the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

  • Qualifies suppliers, executes the RFP (REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL) process, evaluates proposals, develops the documenting of cost and/or price analysis, understand the acquisition/ receiving process, and follow the guidelines in the Corporate Procurement Manual

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to participate in the development of sourcing strategies in support of the long-term agreements

  • Establish a business relationship with key vendors/ subcontractors

  • Host / participate in material review of open requisitions providing timely updates

  • Makes recommendations to management to resolve vendor issues and concerns

  • Assists in the tracking and expediting of material request from the program

  • Procure items from local vendors using the company purchase card

  • Uses specialized knowledge to solve lower complexity problems

  • Ability to prioritize, schedule, organize, focus on, and complete work

  • Identify reliable suppliers and assist with onboarding in the company system

  • Performs other duties assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements • BS/BA Degree

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a professional business environment.

  • Prefer a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with contracts or subcontracts.

  • Desirable but not mandatory:

  • Experience working with US based firms conducting business in Korea.

  • Experience managing contracts, subcontracts, or material purchases in support of a US Government prime contract.
