Vectrus Food Service Advisor in Kuwait

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Food Service Advisor assists with the customer feedback program, training program, Customer Service, and compliance with Tri-Service Code (TB MED 530), and Middle East Region DFAC Specific Contract Requirements. Assists in developing sampling plans, inspection checklists, investigate, and customer complaints. Review and interpret technical specifications, requirements and various documents to insure correct technical solutions are viable, effective and insure performance meets the established tolerance criteria. This position also interfaces with the government customer on all DFAC items.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

1.Provides expert knowledge and experience in running a DFACs.

2.Identify processes and procedures required to execute the project(s) in compliance with program specifications, standards and safety and security requirements.

3.Possess the technical ability to assist in the development of Corrective Action Plan in response to nonconformance reports (NCR) and assist in developing remedies to fix the issues within the nonconformance reports.

4.Evaluate how overall work center performance is meeting Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.

5.Establishes a uniform and comprehensive set of guidelines, processes and procedures for effective, consistent and quality execution of work tasks.

6.Validate work inspection plans, identifying essential inspection points to verify quality, performance, and progress of work at site.

7.Advise the work center security, safety, and training programs.

8.Assist Dining Facility Managers with establishing and maintaining Work-center Plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Internal Operating Procedures (IOP) and Work Instructions (WI), and ensure they provide proper operational information and direction for performing all tasks.

9.Coordinates the correction of minor problems with the functional area managers and acts as the liaison with the Government Contract Officer Representatives (CORs), Government Food Service Advisors and other government customers within the region.

10.Evaluate and resolve customer complaints and take actions to preclude reoccurrence.

11.Perform other duties as assigned.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

Computers (workstations, laptops)

Microsoft Office Suite Professional programs, including MS Access, Excel, Power Point, Word, and also knowledgeable in Share Point.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Working environment will be 60% indoor, 40% outdoor. Work duties will potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions, i.e. temperatures over 100 degrees for extended periods.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Work will require lifting up to 25 lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire and Safety Regulations and published company work rules.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field is required.

Must have ability to acquire and maintain a Common Access Card.

Must have valid US Passport.

A valid US driver’s license is required, and able to obtain Kuwait Driver’s License.

Experience:

Fifteen (15) years of Food Service experience with at least seven (7) years in food service leadership/management roles. Strong attention to detail is required. Candidate must be able to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and have excellent work ethics.

Skills:

Strong planning and organizational skills. Requisite interpersonal skills to represent the PM to participate in various meetings as required. Proven skills in Analytical/Problem Solving techniques. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Office Tools. Ability to work within a very diverse workforce environment. Excellent communicator both in writing and verbally. Expertise in writing SOP'S, Plans, Work Instructions, processes and Project Orders a plus.

SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides leadership, mentoring and training for program personnel.
