Execute all assigned daily duties activities of operating and maintaining the fuel dispensing systems, trucks, and equipment used to support bulk, fixed and mobile fuel retail operations in support of the KBOSSS Contract.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Please list by order of priority and, if possible, provide the percentage of time spent on the activity all should equal 100%.

1.Assist FN personnel counterparts in the operation of fuel systems and equipment, as well as the receipt, storage, issue, quality control and accounting of all petroleum products in the assigned area of operation's inventory.

2.May be asked to provide input on short and long-term mission requirements in terms of the operational readiness of all bulk fuel transporters, Bulk Storage and fixes retail equipment.

3.Assists in assuring all facility and equipment are fully mission capable reports all none mission capable if necessary affected customer base of any deficiencies that could prevent the accomplishment of the assigned day-to-day or contingency mission.

4.Executes Planned scheduled deliveries of Class III fuel products to ensure normal and contingency levels are maintained.

5.Reviews and verifies receiving documents on all incoming shipments of fuel from OCO (DLA) or AIK depots.

6.Reviews and evaluates statistical operational data for favorable or unfavorable trends in the logistical management of fuels.

7.He/she reviews incoming correspondence, which is a directive in nature, determines required response and or complies.

8.Ensure implementation of policies or standards, which comes down from the Chain of Supervision.

9.Assist the supervisor in the development and implement internal work instructions, policies, fuel support plans and procedures not covered by ATP 4-43 or governmental fuel regulations.

10.Assists in enforcement of the Fuel Quality surveillance program for each product to ensure the quality, operational effectiveness.

11.Assist the supervisor in providing adequate operating stocks and war reserve materiel.

12.Assist the Supervisor with the control and supervision of Fuel Distribution System Operators and Drivers

13.Exercises continuing responsibility for safety and environmental conditions, procedures and work practices employed within the assigned area of responsibility.

14.Shall instruct subordinates in safety matters; ensures that safe work practices are followed, and regular inspections are performed.

15.Takes decisive action to eliminate unsafe conditions.

16.Performs other duties as assigned.

Anton Paar Digital Density Meter

Gammon API and Millipore (Sampling and Gauging Kit)

300 GPM Centrifugal Fuel Transfer pump and various fuel dispensing equipment

Commercial Fuel tankers ranging in capacity from 4,000 to 9,511 gallons manufactured by (MAN, IVECO, Mercedes, and Volvo)

1.Must be able to work is outside in extreme environmental conditions with ambient temperatures of 130 degrees, high winds, and sandstorms. Must be able to work in cold and wet conditions as well

2.The Fuels Sections areas have potential for exposure to Environmental (Snakes, Scorpions) and Chemical Hazards

3.Other exposures are transporting fuel over the Kuwait Highways and inside congested or confined areas at the work Locations.

4.Employees are required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.

5.Must be able to work overtime, evenings or adjusted shifts to complete mission requirements

6.May be required to work an irregular schedule including nights, weekends,overtime, and holidays

7.Must comply with all Military, OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published company Policies and Standards.


1.Physical requirements include lifting, pulling, extended sitting or standing for extended periods of time, also involves climbing ladders and working from heights.

2.Must be able to lift 25 lbs continuously, 50 lbs intermittently

3.Other Physical Requirements include repetitive motions of entering and exiting of fuel tankers

4.Must possess normal color vision and depth perception and normal hearing ranges

5.Demonstrated ability to communicate in oral and written English with a basic level of skill is required.


Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if the degree is required.

High school diploma or equivalent is required

A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a US Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.


Three years’ experience working in Military Petroleum Operations required


Versatile in data management, compilation, and conversion using application software such as MS Office and data based software

Leadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor, are required.

Strong interpersonal skills are required.

Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment is required.

Ability to prioritize responsibilities to handle a demanding workload is required.

Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is required.

Advanced ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written form, is required.

High-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately is required

Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications is required.
