Vectrus SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in Kuwait

Individual will work directly under the Supply Supervisor and perform day by day operations and all assigned task in support of Direct Support Warehouse, Central Issue Facilities, or Self-Service Support Center operations, responsible to receive store, inventory, and issue expendable items products and OCIE to various military customers. Manage accounts and financial transactions to support supply operations in theater. A functional, comprehensive working knowledge of the US Army Supply System, including both Wholesale and Retail Operations is a desired but not mandatory trait. A working knowledge of warehouse operations is required.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
1.Count, sort incoming material to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
2.Examine stock to verify quantity or conformance to specifications. Store material in bins, on the floor, on shelves, or in containers according to identifying information
3.Fill orders or issue supplies from stock. Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
4.Compile reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, damage, or shelf life to stock, location changes, and denial of shipments.
5.Prepares daily CDRL’s for Inventory, Receipts, Issues, and others as required by the Performance Work Statement.
6.Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles, using labeling equipment
7.Make adjustments to articles carried in stock. May determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
8.Move or transports material or supplies to other departments, using Pallet Jack, Forklift or industrial truck.
9.Responsible for Physical Security of Sensitive and Pilferable Items and ensure they are stored in accordance with all Army Regulations and local policy.
10.Maintain inventory and other stock records, using computer terminal. Designated according to material, equipment, or product stored, i.e. Retail or wholesale items.
11.Receive, store, and sort unserviceable equipment and supplies for disposal
12.Ensure that all employees are always in compliance with all established Safety Policies and Regulations.
13.Will always ensure safeguarding all Army Property and Equipment.
14.Prepare, read and analyze records and reports in GCSS-Army, ISM (Installation Support Module), and General Stores as necessary to execute routine actions to include receiving, issue, inventory, daily, weekly, monthly, and Annual reports.
15.Ensures the CIF’s OCIE Property books are accurately maintained in ISM.
16.Responsible for quality, professionalism and timeliness of all Customer interactions regarding, issue, sales, shipping, turn-in and DX to maintain a high customer rating.
17.Perform other administrative tasks as determined by the Supervisor or at the direction of the Supply Manager.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Personal computer, printers, network equipment and other general office equipment. Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to include manual and self powered lifts. Computer skills includes a working knowledge of Microsoft Work, Excel and Outlook.
Work is generally conducted in a warehouse environment. However, duties also involve going into an out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions that include ambient temperatures that reach 120 degrees Fahrenheit plus and sandstorms. Working in a military environment brings the potential for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas, but not on a daily basis. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules, must be able to work irregular schedule including nights, weekends,overtime, and holidays to complete mission requirements.
Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
High school diploma or equivalent and well versed in warehousing and storage operations.
Three (3) years military experience in warehousing and supply operations desired or comparable civilian experience.
GCSS-Army, ISM, and General Stores system is preferred
1.Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, written and verbal

3.Must have standard computer skills (MS Work and Excel)
4.Must have knowledge in classifying and specifying supplies
5.Must be able to perform daily task with accuracy, speed, and precision
6.Good communication skills.
7.Must be able to communicate fluently in English to communicate and interact with the customers, vendors, and managers on a daily basis.

9.Must be able to successfully communicate and understand customer’s requests and or questions
10.Must be able to learn and operate current ARMY STAMIS systems.
