Vectrus Supply Manager in Marshall Islands

Overview

This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP

Under the of supervision of the Property & Material Deputy Director. Manages all warehousing functions by performing technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization) that is related to depot, local, retrograde or other supply activities. Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all tasks are accomplished safely and with a focus upon quality. Plans shifts to meet mission needs and verifies actual hours worked by personnel to manage overtime. Ensures personnel complete all tasks in accordance with Environmental, Safety & Health directives. Provides Leadership and mentors junior personnel to develop appropriate skillsets. Addresses Customer concerns in a prompt, professional and courteous manner

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Primary oversight of all warehousing related functions for the Task Order at the assigned sight that include but not limited to: Supply Support Activity, Central Issue Facility, Installation Property Management, SSSC, and Class I.

  • Provides cost, schedule, and technical performance guidance to ensure successful completion of program objectives.

  • Manages all Contractor Supply Services Warehouse (CSSW) and Supply Support Activity (SSA) Warehousing operations.

  • Coordinates with Customers and Site Leadership.

  • Oversees warehousing functions by performing technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization) that is related to depot, local, retrograde, or other supply activities.

  • Develops schedules and coordinates with department leadership to ensure ASL material is right sized to the Task Order

  • Conducts inspections on material storage areas for warehousing operations and department bench stock and/ or shop stock areas.

  • Oversees the coordination of work priorities and monitoring of methods, procedures, and programs.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, peers, and other stakeholders as required.

  • Ensures contract personnel, to include subcontractors, are trained, qualified and certified as may be needed to perform the requirements of the contract in an efficient, safe and cost-effective manner under the requirements specified in individual sections of the LOGCAP V Performance Work Statement (PWS).

  • Performs other duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Experience:

  • 5 years of related work experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Skills:

  • Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.

  • Supervisory/Budget Responsibilities:

  • Provide broad guidance and direction to subordinate personnel at multiple locations throughout the task order.

  • Working Conditions:

  • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).

  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

  • The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard about ambient noise level.

  • The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
