Overview

To receive, transport, issue and deliver petroleum products using various Government Furnished and Leased Commercial fuel tankers and equipment to provide fuel support serviced as directed by USG.

Responsibilities

• Shall Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services on assigned equipment.

• Shall utilizing assigned equipment associated with petroleum distribution to provide fuel service for approved customers

• Documents all fuel issues, transfers, and receipts on the appropriate forms

• Must be familiar with the procedures, documents, and regulations for receiving, storing, and issuing of fuel products (JP8, Mogas, & Diesel).

• Performs Daily visual fuel samples and prepares monthly fuel samples to be submitted to the designated laboratory and documents the results

• Perform fuel transfers between tankers or storage tanks as needed

• Must perform gauging and accountability procedures of fuel products from the time received until final issue

• Takes emergency action to prevent harm to customers, coworkers, self, and facilities in the event of Fuel spillage or fire.

• Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned sweeping and trash removal from break rooms, Fuel storage, and retail areas.

• Performs other related tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications

• Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if the degree is required.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a US Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.

• Experience:

• Three years’ experience working in Petroleum Operations required

• Skills:

• Versatile in data management, compilation, and conversion using application software such as MS Office and data based software

• Leadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor, are required.

• Strong interpersonal skills are required.

• Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment is required.

• Ability to prioritize responsibilities to handle a demanding workload is required.

• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is required.

• Advanced ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written form, is required.

• High-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately is required

• Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications is required.

• Working Environment:

• Work is outdoors with exposure to extreme ambient temperatures, sandstorms, and lightning storms

• The Fuels Sections areas have potential for exposure to Environmental (Snakes, Scorpions)and Chemical Hazards

• Other exposures are transporting fuel over the Kuwait Highways and inside congested or confined areas at the work locations.

• Employees are required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.

• Employees may be required to work overtime or adjusted shifts to complete mission requirements

• Must comply with Military, OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published company work rules
